Help I am stuck in Pop Up hell

I somehow got a pop up virus or something because every time I try to get on a sight I get a bunch of pop ups saying I have spyware in my computer. I am convinced that the messages are from the people who infected my computer to begin with and it is just a scam. Is there anywhere I can go to download a spyware program for free that works. The AOL program for this I have is worthless, as is my AOL account LOL.

grab spybot search and destroy 1.3. it scans your computer for spybots and then gets rid of them. voted #1 in pc magazine as far as spy programs go. it really works.

Go to downloads.com

search for Adaware 6.0
install
run update
run auto search with default settings.
After that's done, right click a found item, select all items,
and quarantine. It'll run a progress bar showing it's working.
Go to quarantined items, delete from there.
Run again!
