depending on what version of windows you have, start your computer with your operating system cd in the tray. it should open up the install screen and you can go from there.

before you do this, remember, this gets rid of everything on your computer, make sure you have or can get the drivers for your video card, sound card, etc...

Can't beat a windows 98 bootup disk.

I usually take out the HD and put it in another box and format the secondary drive.

i run windows xp ! so pull out my main hd and load up windows on the secondary hd ?

if you want to.. depends on what you are trying to get rid off.. if there is nothing on the main harddrive you need, clear it all.
