I'm giving up on my idea for a wall mounted computer (open case) and I''m gonna try to build a SFF computer for my doom3 machine.

Anyone have experiance with these? should i not bother unless I do a lot of LAN parties? (Don't do any at the moment, so it won't break me.

I just wanna build something "different" but stay affordable. (under 1k)

If you get one, I'd be vary weary of were you put it, heat in those will become a big factor with a 3200+ XP and a bad ass video card. You'll just want to make sure you get one that obviously supports a good agp card and the more onboard ports ( 1394, USB, etc... ) the better!

Might want to get Intel because of cooler running cpu, but it'll be a bit more in cost.

I remember seeing a couple of them that are liquid cooled. That might help a little bit with the heating problem.

I *think* some of the ShuttleXP SFF PCs actually come with it. I think.

Hrm.. Maybe it's air-cooled? http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=56-101-428&depa=1
