Obviously, I'm trying to put on some size. I'm trying to eat pretty healthy. I'm not a big carb watcher (although maybe I should be). I've been focusing on getting a lot of protein and not too much fat. My main question is how many calories should I be trying to consume. I don't want to eat junk just to make a lot of calories. For example, here is what I ate yesterday:

All this only added up to 2037 calories. Should I be eating more? I know the lunch wasn't good for me, but I kinda consider lunch a wild card. Let me know what I should be eating and how many calories, etc. THANKS!!!

I feel like I'm getting the protein that I want, but I'm not sure I'm getting enough calories to grow. I'm 157 or so right now... I've been told I need to get at least 1g. per lb. I weigh. I'm spreading them out over the day to get maximum absorption.

I need to be taking almost 300g/day. I am sucking down 3 protein shakes a day, tuna, chicken, etc. It's not easy.

I think you definitely need to get more calories if you want to gain weight.

you need to find out what you lean body weight is to be able to come up with a gain plan..don't trust the digital readers, find someone that will do a bodyfat analysis for you ,using the calipers..figure if you want to maintain what you have 1g protein per lb lean body weight, if you want to gain, then go to 1.5 ,etc..everyone is different,so it will take some time to see what will work best for you..right now,i'm around 223 @ 5'11"..thats down from 243 a few weeks ago..my lean body mass is 199 @1% bf..so ,my protein intake over 6 meals is 232.847, my caloric intake is 1776.04,and carbs is 167.128 i'm trying to lean down for a show, hince the low carb intake..anyway, just my .02, over the winter ,i'll jack up the protein and calories quite a bit to gain some..as long as you stay away from too many bread products, you will be allright..sorry for the long thread
