Yes ladies and gents, with only 2000 miles on the odometer, i took the new mach 1 to the track.
14.387@99.75
15.321@100.10 (FOUL)
14.238@100.74
14.384@100.61
14.259@99.84
14.227@99.95
14.180@100.18
now...lets get some details out there
Wichita international has a bad reputation for no traction. I spun all through first EVERY pass. That didnt bother me, in fact i was prepared for it :D The part that sucks, there is NO WAY to bypass the burnout box!! So, before every pass I had to wet the tires. Anyway, im guessing with drag radials i could easily pist mid to high 13's.
Another thing id like to throw out there... this is the FIRST time i have ever driven ANY car at a real track. :)
I have video that i will be posting later on too ;)

Lets see the other times, 60ft 330 1/8 and trap.
It takes a special type of person that can beat the crap out a car that they will never own to see just how fast they can take it, to get those low mag numbers.

let me stress this agian, this track is notorious for NO traction. in technical terms i guess you could say that if #*$(ing sucks

You're only getting 99, 100mph out of a Mach 1?!?!
Is this the norm?

Well, times are one thing, but I'm just trying to figure out why it's mph'ing about 6-7mph's slower than what I've seen from others.

2.3 - 2.5 60fts arent helping, get it down to 1.8 and thats almost a second off your ET.

you are getting 2.2 60' times, but running 9.2s in the 1/8th? you should at least be doing 8.8s at 82. where are you shifting at, and how slow do you shift...
i was cutting 2.2 60' times at denton with my K&N-only 2003 GT and running 9.2s and 9.3s at 77 mph.

If you are funning the stock tires.. First drop the PSI to about 26.. heat them up for a few seconds just to clean them and get them a little stick.. rev rpm's to 2.3K dump the cluch then push down the gas.. Your 60's will drop and you will get out of the hole better... I was cutting 2.0's all day today at the track and running 8.6's in the 1/8.. I was launching at 3K though cause the track was hooking pretty good.. Just practice alot and you will get the hang of it... As for tires someone is always selling some used rims and tirs the the parts section... Once I put my ET streets on next week I sould be looking at an 8.0 or 7.9 in the 1/8.. It just takes time and alot of practice with your launch which is the most important part of the race.. The next most inportant part is the shifting... You cant granny shift and expect your times to be good.. You have to shift fast and hard... O yeah don't shift at redline, shift at about 6400.. Your power really starts to fall off after that...
