6 month storage of 10 computers

Climate controlled or is a garage ok? I know this seems like a dumb question but the difference is 600 bucks in storage.

Computers are fairly new... we have to keep them somewhere until we expand our offices.

unless you garage is going to be 100+* I would think it would be fine for storage.. as it says above make sure the are packed up.. keep dust out of them.

This time of year, I would go climate controlled if you can help it. Most of the stuff can actually handle pretty high temps, but you don't wanna risk it. If it's a house garage, that should be ok cause it doesn't really get that hot, but a metal storage type garage will get hotter than the outside air temps.

take half the money you would spend on storage and add a window unit for ac/heat for your garage :D


Then you get something out of it afterwards :D

not many garages have a window :) but your logic is right on track.

get a swamp cooler then, that is what we have in the detached garage.

doesn't mean you can't cut a hole in the wall... in about 3 months my dad is going to come up and we are doing this to my garage... as well as had some insulation in the garage door... to help keep the cool/heat in :D

shouldn't be that big of a deal... only problem is cutting the brick... but that is really not an issue with the correct tools

If you are just storing them, then anything but Death Valley temps is fine.

As long as you package them good to keep dust out you should not have a problem with the heat.

You also have to think about alot of the time you computer is usauly running hot. Temp does not matter.
