Jesus, this is the absolute BEST desktop distro I have ever seen. I plugged in a usb mouse randomly, and it worked, scroll and everything.... Default installation is clean smooth fast, I just cant think of enough good things to say right now because I'm really busy. Ximian owns massively, so much cleaner of an interface than any MS stuff I've ever seen.... I'm hooked.
Good help page btw

Very nice install. Also nice it already has the 2.6 kernel.
I've liked it so for for some snort box installs.

It took about 5 hours to install from ftp.suse.com (probably would of went faster if I used an alternate mirror overseas ones are generally the faster ones), i did a pretty good size install and it was 3.5GB. I like that fact that nvidia and ati drivers are included.. realplayer is included... A lot of apps and games are included with the distro. It is very nice...
but... SuSE only has integration with KDE :yuk: If I am going to use a desktop it will be gnome (suse does not setup any of the menu items in gnome).. otherwise I will use fluxbox.
If you like KDE, suse kicks.. if its your first time to use linux.. suse kicks. But I will stick with slackware :)
As for fedora... I will give it a try soon!
right now on my window machines i use bb4win, on my laptop i have phlak, and i want suse but dont have time to download it wanna burn me some cds ;p

Is that a big deal? WinXP has done the same thing for years. Hell, Win2K has done it since... well, 2000. :D
