bah, me and XL couldnt get the sucker to run. I get the three continuous beeps saying No system memory installed, even though it is. Does my Kingston ValueRAM 184 Pin 1GB ECC Registered DDR PC-2700 work with my MB ASUS P4C800-E DELUXE CANTERWOOD motherbitch..er...board?
I only have *one* stick of RAM, and i hope this crap isnt like SDRAM where you *HAVE* to use them in pairs. Talk about a discouraging first try. I will add this post in a new thread as well :/

looks like this dual-channel DDR memory needs a buddy

2GB GOOD! :D
But yeah, dual channel needs 2 ... thus the "dual" part :D I'd assumed NewEgg would've packaged 2 512's (that's how my Corsair's were), instead of a single 1GB ... especially since ... they're dual channel...

Im not familar with the mobo but most have specific places to put the memory depending how many sticks you have...if it has 4 slots you would put a stick in 1 and 3 for dual channel mode, or there may be a specific slot if you only have one stick, 3 sticks ect. good luck...

I dunno if they still make memory terminators, but that might be something to look into as well, instead of buying two sticks now. That way, down the road if you decide you do want 2GB, you could just buy another 1GB stick and still have a couple slots open :D

They still make them. I would assume that the board would come with some. The Intel boards we use at work come with them..
