Motorcycle Roadtrip GTG August 7'th

It'll be roughly 80 miles one way to Whitney, TX and would be a weekend trip leaving Saturday morning and heading back Sunday afternoon (or you can leave whenever if you know your way). The ride takes us straight down Highway 67 till we hit Cleburne and we will head South from there to Whitney. Normally takes about an hour in my truck, probably a little longer on the bikes with a few stops for water, etc. Pretty scenic ride and after Cleburne it's pretty much one lane roads.

My parents have a house off of the lake but you have to walk down a hill to get to the water (not to bad of a walk but you don't want to do it drunk trust me :D ). Only one bed but there are two fold out sofa's and and two bathrooms and showers. There's a cove down from the house there that we can BBQ, swim, and fish from. I'll have a chase vehicle (my SuperCrew) along in case someone breaks down and also to carry any fishing gear, coolers, etc. I'll provide the meat and some beer I just ask that whoever goes chip in on any additional beverages and sides. Between me, my cousin, and a buddy of mine coming along we will do the cooking so that's taken care of.

I will have just started working overnights again when the 7th rolls around, what time that Saturday AM are you planning on heading out and from where? I'll be at 35/oaklawn and could just scoot somewhere to meet up w/ everyone.

I predict that i'll ride w/ the group, hang out a bit, then split back to me casa for some zzz's before work Saturday night, hows that for some commitment! :)

Wish I could go but football has me swamped with all the fundraisers, practice, meetings, and games. Love it but it means I ahve to put other hobbies on hold till October. Maybe I can catch a GTG then. ;0

Unfotunately due to a death on the family I'm going to have to cancel this weekend's trip. I'm sorry but I just found out tonight that my uncle passed away earlier this evening and I've gotta leave out of town tomorrow afternoon. We will try and reschedule for next weekend or the weekend after.
