Somebody said that they used some type of electonic instrument to measure body fat. What exactly is it and where can you buy it?

How much are those from Walgreens?

I got one at Walmart last night for about $40, I think the brand is Taylor.

It said I was 10%, next time I go to the gym I'm going to see if they have body fat calipers, to compare with the scale.

A quality electrical impedence scale will be more acurate than caliper testing, but the key word is quality. The professional one's go for a couple grand, I don't put a whole lot of stock in the cheapies sold to the public, but it's still another measure of progress.

Todd, mine is a Tanita brand and it was around $40-50 if I recall....
<--would be pretty damn happy w/ 10%!!

those things arent worth a shit

caliper measurements are more accurate than the Tanita scales

Calipers are more accurate??? REALLLYY??? I don't think anyone's disputing that. The electrical impedance scales only serve as a fixed point by which to measure change. In other words, I don't care if it says I'm 20% as long as I can see it going down and know that I'm making good progress...
