If you choose an Irving Sonic be sure to talk to the manager. They're pretty anal about car meets. (Lived there for years and been bitched out numerous times for talking too long or getting out of my car to b.s.). :rolleyes: I'd LOVE to meet at the one on Shady Grove! It's kinda dead on Sat. nights and open late. (Gatta be cool tho...the cops aren't nice to racers).

I'd be down w/an Irving g2g either way. I cruise the city a LOT because there are actually others who do so too. :cool: Hooters parking lot blows ass for a meet and it's not very safe for a night g2g. Even something by 114 or 635 would be cool. Probably not a restaurant but more so a place like Starbucks or a semi-fast food joint.

Sat nights I usually have stuff going on. Monday nights tend to be dead on the boards, maybe that night. Well I do start softball on mondays in two weeks though.

Yeah the cops around here are not to kind at all to racers either. I do see some punk kids get together at the minyards across the street everyonce in a while and they tend to get stupid so any places anyone can think would be great.

I have seen what looks to be a miata club meeting at the one on beltline there were people walking around, but what suck is they have no tables. the cops are not going to like us no matter where we are. if anyone has a login for dfwls1 let them know I am all for as many people as we canget together and maybe they will have some ideas to. I would be willing to talk to the manger on shady grove if we can pick a night

I talked to Nicolle from Girls can too and i think we could get more people to come out if we put it in north irving up near 635 and mac or something like that. Maybe organize a lil cruise up there from say 183 and Mac. What do you all think about that? North or south irving, which do you prefer?

I live in north irving ,but does not matter to me. did yall want to meet at crystal's park lot or albertson's parking lot? and then cruise to a location? did not here from gm at sonic guess he not to quick to respond? if not we can always find somewhere else to go. anyone else have a good location to meet? If we go to 635 and mac arthur did yall want to meet at a resturant? and which one? chedars, chilis, razoos, I have also seen the nissan club meet at the sonny bryans at northgate and mac arthur.

88LXHATCH, just my opinion, but I don't think a full blown restaurant is a good choice. It leaves all of our cars outside - after we've advertised online that they'll be there. ;) A quickie place where folks can run in and grab a snack would be perfect.

Other spots who've been game in the past: The Starbucks at I-635/Mac, the Starbucks at 114/Mac, the Sonic on Pioneer/Irving Blvd. Keep us posted. :)

when we had the GTG in lewisville some of us met at the parking lot at Irving mall and cruise out there... but this one is so close that I guess some can meet and others can just show up... let me talk to the managers at starbucks. but I would say meet at starbucks around 7:30 ... you all post what you think and we'll go from there... but ill go out there tomorrow

Joe, I didn't even think about that. I'm sure the 635/Mac WOULD be closer for the ole Parma's peeps. Check both locations. :) Hell, there's a TON of stuff open late around the 635 area. Someone is sure to bite. :D

88LXHATCH, yah it sux that we even have to worry about those things. :( At least it won't be TOO hot meeting at night. Both Starbucks are great spots.

As for the cops, I like Irving popo, especially north Irving. It's even a good idea to tell them in advance that we'll be there. An act of good faith. I used to talk to Carrollton all the time and they were WAY cool to us.

Basically let them know that we're serious and we won't tollerate any reckless behavior either - and those who park in patches away from the main group aren't with us and not approved by the management. :cool: Stop the b.s. that kept happening in Lewisville.
