PII 300 MhZ Processor
8.4 GB Hard Drive
64 MB RAM, expandable to 256, I believe

The computer is in really good condition, it's been a workhorse for a while, but he's since upgraded. Ill post pictures up soon. Make me an offer. I live in the Plano area.

without a monitor/keyboard/mouse I'd guess under $50.

P2 300 with 64mb of ram will only run 98 very well. bump it up to 256-512 and 2k might be tolerable.

Would be a good kids box or something to play with linux on.

I'd say it's worth a bit more than $50...

Still got a few days but a similar box.

....with Stang2be on this one. Lower end (<500MHz) PII class boxes with HD and memory of the day can be found easily for $25-$50. His box has a few upgrades but not valuable upgrades. Throw in a decent working 17" monitor and you might expect between $75-100.

What depreciates these boxes? Things like the 5/28 Fry's special. A no-name clone, 1.6GHz Duron, 128/40GB/52X/56K modem, no OS for $99. They run this once a month or so

Truly, your mileage may vary and an item is worth whatever someone will pay on a given day. Good luck selling it.

I would think 8.3 gigs of porn would bolster the price.

Just messin with my friend...

He has sold a few computers already and they are in great condition. Tack a couple dollars on knowing that he is an experienced computer builder and knows how to maintain them.

Ill consider an offer for $70

BTW, it does include Windows 98 SE with Microsoft Plus installed.

I can understand that but I've been building my own boxes for over 10 years and making a living in IT for over 6 so I can maintain my own boxes too.

I have a few boxes like this myself but they are more useful to me running linux to run audits, web servers, testing, etc than the few bucks I can get for it.
