Do superchargers(an S-trim in this case) put the same kinda load on a motor as say the AC compressor when turned on?

Just tryin to gauge what water temps are gonna be like with a blower AND the AC at the same time.

Cause if the car is just gonna get hot with the AC im gonna take it off...temps just get ridiculous hot out here in july and august.

Anyone notice temp differences after a blower install?

My car (when it was running:() only ran at about 180* on a medium temperature day. On a 100*+ day when I had the A/C on full blast sitting in traffic the highest I got was 200*. I made a 400 mile trip with the A/C on in 100* heat and the temps stayed around 180* - 190*. My car was a 302 with stock heads, GT40 intake, custom grind cam, and a Paxton SN89 Supercharger. I also have a 3 core radiator, but I am also running an Automatic right now so that hot fluid is still circulating through the radiator.

yep, you'll need a bigger radiator to help keep the car cool

I had a Fluidyne in it already and it was a useless peice of shit. I have the stock radiator in it and it runs 20-30* cooler at least...

So im gonna try the stocker...if it cant hold it, ill figure somethin out.

But the blower will make the car run hotter regardless then ehh?

Thanks

My car with a Fluidyne and a P1SC runs cooler than it did with the stock radiator and no blower.

Yes and No. When your idling and running around town (Not on the Boost) it doesn't pull very much. Once you get some boost behind that impeller, then yes, it will start to pull some power to turn it.

You'll want a bigger radiator than stock, no matter what. Its not hard to turn the blower while cruising but it still heats up the inlet temps of the incoming air quite a little bit.

They don't carry the 3 cores anymore. I tried to buy one the other day and the guy told me they only sell the 2 cores now. Unless he was a dipshit and didn't know what he was doing.
