how fast ya think?

Yeah i know i need to get it to the track and just find out, but curious what guesses are out there. Was reading an thing last night that was saying a 86 - 92 5 speed with gears and exhaust can hit high 13's to low 14's. But i have no basis to know what a 13 second or a 15 sec 1/4 feels like.

No slicks, driving skill? errmmm i dunno, im fast on the clutch and gears, but im not a racer by any stretch.

Back in 1988, with my car BONE stock and 3.08 gears (and brand new), would run consistent 13.90's-14.00's @ 97-98 mph on stock goodyear gatorbacks.. This was a speed density car though then and they definitely ran harder than the 89-93 cars-bone stock. No meter to hold you back...Once you modify them though, the speed density won't adapt.....

hermmm okies, again just curious. I mean to me the car pulls like nothing i have ever driven before. Getting upto 65 from the service road is fun to say the least. Was just thinking that if the car is doing 14's to 15's and i see people here doing 12's all day long what that must feel like. BUT, if my car is already doing high 13's then a 12 sec run doesn't seem all that hard or scary to get to hehe. if that made sense....

If your daily driver is a Kia, then it would stand to reason it pulls like there is no tomorrow! It's all relative.....

Hey if i can hit 13.1 in the 1/4 on street tires and its a daily driver... i will be happy lol.... Heads, intake, cam and mass air conversion from what im seeing will most likely get me faster then that. So comes the "i need more power" syndrom, i was warned, i got hooked :D
