I pulled the clutch out to see how it looked since it has been slipping for some time and it looked good. We finally know how to set the mcleod soft-lock clutch up so fast times are soon approaching. However, after inspecting the tranny the input shaft looks to be bent on the ole' Jerico.....so we are next daying out but won't have one till next week. On a good note, they are replacing it for free because they have never had any issues w/ input shafts bending. I wanted to come play this weekend but I guess I will have to wait another week.
Anyone else ever bent an input shaft? What causes it? It looks like it is bent up and down.

I had a southland race clutch in my 96 that worked great. It was good to 600hp.
I think your making double that in your street car though so it probably wouldnt work either.
oh, thats really more good news than bad 93coupett....

That is definately a wierd problem. Could it have possibly been in a biind when it was installed? Once it is in place there is really no way for it to bend... How much is it bent? Was it checked with a dial indicator?

We made sure everything was perfect before we installed the tranny when new. The guy at Jerico believes it was just weak steel and that was the cause. I never had any problems with it and we happened to notice it during a quick inspection.
