View Full Version : Just got back from St. Louis
WFC was one helluva show. I got there on Friday morning and the weather was as shitty as could be. But they got it cleaned up in time to do one round of qualifying in. Travis Franklin had the fastest pass of the weekend in outlaw 10.5. He busted Dan Millen's ass 7.45 @ 191 on a set of 28x10.5x15 slicks "no W tires". He did this twice and then the crank snout gave in. Millen ended up winning the event. Chuck Samuels won the Pro 5.0 class. Kenny Compton won the Hot street class. Big Daddy won the DR class, he was only a full second in front of the field. I left out Sunday night at 6:00 and made the longest ride on the planet back so I could be at work at 8:00 . That drive is like wiping your ass with sand paper. Not at all recommended !!!!!
Will have pictures posted shortly.

Can't wait for the pics. You didn't happen to notice a good looking blonde chick in a yellow 98 cobra that referred to the car as "him" did ya?

Sounds like a good event! That sucks for Travis it would have been nice to see him kick some ass out there. Do you know who won renegade? What was Big Daddy's ET's?
Thanks for the news!

sounds like fun. I was hoping to go this year, but plans fell through at the last minute.
7.45 at 191??? I remember it was just a couple of years ago when people were debating if anyone would be able to go 7s on a true 10.5 ......and now they are closer to a 6!

Big daddy was running 8.20's all weekend while everyone else was running 9.40's
Not sure about Renegade.
You can see my fat ass in one of Kenny Comptons pics. I'm the bald dude wearing the yellow shirt.

I just got back myself. The finals on Sunday night for Wild Street/SSO/PRO were unbelieveable.
I managed to qualify 8th and make it into the second round of Wild Street until the eventual winner laid an 8.2? on my ass with BFG DRs. All things considered it was a great show even though the turnout was lighter than usual. We will be back next year.

All I know is a got MAJOR WOOD for Christina Eldert, and my ultimate fantasy is to meet her at the top end of the track after she makes a high 8 second pass, and ride back to the pits with her, get in that covered trailer of hers, and slowly peel away the layers of fire retardant clothing on her, layer by greasy layer.....
...... then make love to her race fuel scented hot little body right there in a puddle of transmission fluid until our bodies are both spent.......

Two of my best friends form New Mexico gave Big Daddy a run for his money! Mike Keean was the top qualifier who ran a best of 8.23@181 and Anthony Dickson of HP Performance had a best of 8.26@173.3! Both ran into trouble at the later rounds, but you can believe that Big Daddy is not alone in drag radial anymore, look for these guys to be in the top spots for 2004 season. Great job for these two no name out of Albuquerque, NM.

Did your friends run in Drag Radial or Wild Street at WFC 7?
Big Daddy was running 8.20's while everyone else was running 9.20's and 9.30's
But he had a good run in eliminations. I think the other guy got down in the 8.50 range.
He is the baddest in the world for a reason.

Mike Keenan was not in D/R....and I don't think he has ever ran it.
He runs PSCA out in Cal and AZ.

Sorry I was miss taken! My buddy's ran Wild Street not Drag Radial. Again sorry some of you guys get panty wet pretty fast. My $.02 Wild Street is a much tuffer class then drag radial and making a 8.20 pass is impressive.

My reason for asking that was that as far as I know....the rules for DR are ALOT more tougher/stringent than WS in WFC. Not trying to argue....just stating a fact. Now if your friends had their cars setup in WFC DR Trim....well that's a different story, then more props to them for such nice ET's/MPH's.
Garth you're right they were a little bigger than a 28 but I do know they weren't "W's". I was just trying to give Travis his props. I thought ya'll were buddies. But I'll tell you this They were alot shorter than 28's when they left. More like 24's them fockers were getting wrinkled up like a load of laundry. Then on the other end they'd swell up to way more than a 29
