Anybody's IT department hiring?

I'm currently working part time for Best Buy as a pc technician, but bearly getting enough hours to get by. I'm looking for a full time position doing any kind of tech stuff. I have great computer troubleshooting and repair skills and also some networking. I am A+ certified and want to learn more about networking. Please let me know if you have any leads to anything. Preferably in the Fort Worth/Arlington area but will drive if needed.

Entry level help desk stuff is tough out there right now.

Any opening I know of want 5+ years exp and network/server stuff.

I think the economy is starting to turn around though. I've got a full time job and about to turn down one making 55k and have two interviews one day this week. Both are IT security and are 60-75k.

You might try getting some network/server experience by donating your time at a local church, boys club, etc.

It doesnt pay cash but the experience and the reference will help.

Play and read with anything you can. Work with every application and OS you can get your hands on. Read lots of books and maybe check into the CCNA requirements. It will get you a good basic understanding of networking.

If it helps I have no certifications and had was kicked out of UNT twice for bad grades and I've been doing IT consulting/server/network support for 6-7 years now. I will also stick to it that in this business who you know is almost or more important than what you know. The job I am turning down was just a random attempt but my current job and the 2 interview this week are a result of someone I know or have worked with recommending me and passing my info along.

Radioshack IT department might be looking for some intern type positions where you work like 25 hours a week making like 9-10 an hour (i think) doing store technical support.
