Also want a new cd player want something that looks nice and perfomes good. also dont know what amp to get
looking for best bang for the buck.
any advice would be helpful
TIA
You need to go to a shop and at least get an idea of what you want. What is your budget?
If you're looking to do your system as inexpensively as possible, look for a radio that has crossovers built in to cut the bass from the speaker outputs so the factory speaker locations will not play bass. This will allow them to play louder and cleaner. Also look for the deck to have a subwoofer volume control (also called Non-fading output on Kenwood) so you can control the bass volume independently from the the system volume. For the bass, Probox makes a very nice under the seat enclosure. I think they make them for 10's and 12's. You need to match your woofers to the airspace of the enclosure. There is plenty of room on the back wall for amps. Today's Class D amps run cool so they don't shut off in the summer and they are very efficient so the don't draw tons of current from your electrical system.

I just bought the alpine 9813 and love it... If you want a unit with MP3 playback get an alpine with the search function, it is awesome and have had the same mix CD in for the past week... 60x4 sounds awesome...
