avi or wmv to dvd

what program are you all using to convert an avi, mpeg, or wmv to dvd to watch on a dvd player? suggestions hints or pointers welcome.

yeah i know about that site.. i was just hoping that there is a one program that does all the conversions. thanks for the help tho :D

I used to do it back in the day but that was before DVD burners were cheap.. I used tmpgEncoder, It did everything I needed back then.. maybe a newer version does it now???

I used to do it when I downloaded music videos. I would convert them and burn them to a DVD. I certainly would not do this with a downloaded movie. [COLOR=silver]Just rent and copy. [/COLOR] ;)

You know... theoretically that rental entitles you to as many viewings as would take up the 72 hours (or however many days the rental is for) ...

So, if you break it down as each viewing is 2 hours, over 72 hours that's 36 viewings ... or for 120 hours (5 day rental), that's a total of 60 viewings that you're entitled to.

So when you rent a movie, you're entitled to 36 - 60 viewings of that movie ... you know ... just doesn't all necissarily have to be in that 3 - 5 day rental period :D

its worth it if its a family video that isn't at your local blockbuster. :rolleyes: If you can find the video let me know ;)

Edit: and i can't use svcd due to the parents being too cheap to buy a newer dvd player that will read the disks.. already tried that route. i guess i'll go the suggested route above. thanks all!
