stupid NEC flat screen keeps shaking. looks almost like running a 40hz refresh rate.
i have replaced with a cheapo HP 17" and it works fine, this monitor is about 4 months old at most.
any ideas?

Make sure you don't have any speakers near it.

i have two speakers within about 6 inches of it, but i have moved them and it makes no difference, they are 2 inch drivers. i have an 8 inch sub 4 feet away, same thing.
no high frequency wireless that i KNOW of.
it doesnt matter, because the fucking thing keeps "forgetting" win32/ntkernel.blahblah.blah files, so if i reload XP it works until i turn it off. then does the same.

that would be my answer, except for the first time since i've had it, it freezes.
thank goodness for second computers, or i would be sad.
it may help, also, did the flatscreen have a driver disk with it. check for a update there also.
