My little volume icon on my toolbar at the bottom of the screen has disappeared. I went to the control panel and everything is ok there. I even have it checked to show the icon. I've also rebooted. What the hell is up?

The program itself is located at %SystemRoot%\System32\sndvol32.exe

Are you for real?

Well, the icon is back but now when turn the volume up/down it just makes a beep that stays the same tone. If I'm playing a movie or something then it works right.

Damn HP's.

Why not restore your system to before when you were having the problem?

No it's showing now, but it just makes a beep sound when I click on it like an error or something.
