You can't use THat MySonic shit. You need to download something like DVDShrink or some other same-type programs.

find you a copy of nero and you will be set :D

and there is no reason to make iso's out of the dvd... just backit up to the hard drive... use nero and burn your dvd.....

With dvdshrink, just open the disc, then after it does its thing, click backup disc. I've never had any problems with it.

With as cheap as DVD Recordable media is getting now ... I'm now torn :D DivX for 3 - 6 movies per disc, or DVD Shrink for near perfect duplications. Hmmmmm.

$40.99 for a 50 pack through NewEgg ... not too shabby.

What kind of media is this Jay? I have been getting -R Prodisc at meritline.com @ 37.50 for 50 with free shipping.

so you use -R and have good luck with compatibility... most the older dvd players at my house only play the +

My own experience is that I have had pretty good luck with both. I just recently got a dual burner so I have only burnt one -R. But the one that I did played flawlessly in a player that would not play any of my +R/+RW discs.

I am using the latest version of DVDShrink (3.1.7.6) and I believe that in order for you to use the burning capabilities within Shrink you have to have Nero installed.

Don't remember exactly :D Just glanced at it when I was going through the links to get the components for my new box. Looking at the store link, there seems to be quite a few for even less.

I just remember not too long ago, a 50 pack costing near $100.

It is supposed to be the other way around. From my understanding the older players are supposed to be more compatible with the -R. I guess in reality, "individual results may vary".

Even still, if a person goes to Frys or Microcenter, they are gonna pay $80. It only makes sense to shop online.
