What do you use to clean your top with?...I've never actually bought anything to clean my top with just the usual soap and water available at your local car wash!...My black top is beginning to look a bit grey! ..what should I buy?

Mother's makes a convertible top cleaner and I've used it and thought it was pretty good. I picked it up at Autozone.

Whatever you do, do not use Armor All on your top. It dries the material it and shortens the life of your top.

I use this stuff since I had my top replaced becasue of an uncovered rivet. Mine is black and it is tricky but works great.

when i had my convertible I just bought castrol super clean $2.99 for a bottle or you could use Simple Green it a lil more money though. Dilute a lil bit in a buck of warm water. Spray the top down with your hose, and then use a nice brush with the mixture of water and super clean. I got the brush at O'riley's its very nice. The combination of the two made it like very nice. I would do that to the top, then rinse. And wash the mustang and top again with car soap. Then I'd let it dry and i applied 303 protectant with a foam applicator pad. 303 is great, blocks uv rays so it won't fade and it also reples dirt. I would defiently get it to protect your top!

That's the same stuff I use and it works great! You have to be extremely careful about what you use because a lot of those other solutions will dry out the top or break the material down. On the orginal top I had on my car I used some stuff from AutoZone that was for vert tops and after a few months I could tell it was eating away at my top... looked real good though! LOL The Raggtopp looks even better and you can see the water bead on it months after you put it on. The place that installed my new top recommended Raggtopp and I have used it since.

spray motor oil all over and then wash it off.
