Fastest List - 1/4 Mile

[Unseen]

A few rules:
1) You must be an active member of DFWStangs with a minimum of 100 posts. To be active requires a minimum posting rate of 100 posts per year.
2) Car must have run that time with in the last year and have the same or similar combo. Cars that run a time and then are dismantled or sold or remain on the jack stand racing team for more than one year will be removed from the list.

Let me know if you find any errors, I have added a few stats, like date it was run. engine size. Please inform me of info where the question marks appear. Also any feed back on rules or the such is welcome also.

If you want to be added or updated please PM your info. I will get to it allot quicker that way, because I really don't scour this thread looking for new additions and updates very often.

RS = Racing Slick, CS = Cheater Slick(DOT), DR = Drag Radial, SR = Street Radial

Hell My 72 Nova went a 11.60 at 114 on motor at Ennis in Feb this year. It has a 350 engine, weighs 3475 and that was on a slick. I will post up what the truck run's very shortly. I may go to Super Cheby Show on Sunday to play. in it

i ran 3-4 12.2's and (1) 12.17 when I made 313rwhp with dr's.(headers/3200 stall/lid/cutout with 3/4 tank full) After I got the ls6 cam, i couldnt break a 12.3 with dr's so i went back and with 1/4 tank and et streets, I got a 12.0, 12.1, 11.87, 12.1, 12.2 and then back to 12.03. I have NO idea why or how the car couldnt do a 11 again..could have been on the launch.. i cant remember if I launched it at 2500 or just launch on idle which flashes the stall. :)..i think on the street with the dr's i am running a mid 12..maybe a little faster

Thanks! I was happy with almost all my passes today. They were very encouraging, since I still have more power on tap and my 60 fts. will improve with the addition of some new slicks and an anti-roll bar. Hell, I was just happy to be able to hit every gear today! It's been over a year and a half since I've raced it at the track with the charger strapped on. Man, your car is sharp & hauls some ass. Maybe I can beat you to the 9's this year. :D;)

I'll have to pass on the s-trim. I think I'm gonna eventually go with a t-trim. It should drop right in place of the b-trim, I think? Or, If cashflow allows, I may see if I can find a drivers side YS-trim kit at a reasonable price. Either way, I can't do shit right now. I'm having a house built this summer and money is tight. I guess I'll keep blowin' hot air with this b-trim and concentrate on improving my suspension setup this year.

It was only a 6.81 @ 101. I'm basically spinning about 60ft. in 1st gear and another 10 ft. win I hit second gear. When I get it to hook a little better I think I can get a 6.6 out of her. With 4 or 5 more lbs. of boost and 100 lbs. lighter, I'd like to see a 6.3 or maybe even 6.2 about 106 mph. All through a 5-speed!

NO... The car is laying over in high gear... I think i found the problem.. It should run in the teens at 147 or so.. It went 6.0x in the eight at 118 laying over a little before the eighth.. and with that it still coasted to a 9.60@only 120... I still have not turned the plate up .. Next to bottom setting until i get the banging problem fixed.. It only picked up 7 mph in the quarter but it picked up 1.2 seconds :cool: IE: its not running to its potential on the "big" end

There are open spots on the list - it used to be top 20, then I changed to top 10 due to the fact that nobody was sending times in. Its picked up a bit since then, so I now call it top 15 - but there are only 13 on the list.

Manny's 8.18 last year was on slicks.

It won't take much. Find me an EFI regulator that I can hookup with -6 lines (will use adapter from factory fuel lines to hook to the regulator and back), an EFI gauge, and I'll slap the plate kit on for a 100 shot and run a 9.90!
