NDSP has sent me the html for the fastest list, and I have decided to post the list and keep it updated. I have a couple questions for you guys before I start.
Do we want to have the bike list?
Do we want seperate posts for 1/8 and 1/4 lists?
Thanks

I will take all input into consideration, and tonight post new list/lists. I don't have a billion posts, but I do spend a LOT of time here. I'm confident that all will be pleased with the maintenance of the list. Hopefully they will be blessed with a sticky.

It won't start over, but the times over a year old will be removed. This should open up some spots.

I'm going to have to remove some folks from the lists due to the runs being more than a year old. (or not having dates) Send me some updates if you want to remain on the lists.
1/4 Mile - Turbodad347, Jyro, Bsharer, Lilthumper, Silver99LS1, Sick89LX
1/8 Mile - cele3, jyro, boost addict

Why would I be removed if I'm still racing almost every weekend? Just Saturday, I ran a 5.99.
And, I'm with Kirk, don't care about the bikes and keep 1/8 and 1/4 lists and N/A and power adder lists.

I'll keep you on. I just think that the runs should be in the past year. But I'll go with what everyone wants. Should it be a run in the past year, or the old one?
BTW, love the Capri.

I agree with the run having to be in the past year... if I demod my car somewhat but still keep the same basic combo and can't run as fast, my time should come off. I think that the car in question should have been able to back up or surpass the fastest list run within the past year.

BTW, StangTamer sold off most of his motor setup to someone who shall remain nameless... does that count as dismantling his car? The rest of his motor is in a box at HPP.
Those clowns had me taken off the list when Kirk was fabricating up my turbo kit (I had yet to make a run with the turbocharger) even though I still had all of the stuff that I took off (blower, exhaust, etc.) and could have, at any time, put the blower back on. My car was only down for 2.5 months...

Thanks for the props on the Capri. I guess it really doesn't matter to me if my 5.92 stays posted. I've got a better combo now and should surpass that time (knock on wood) with a little tuning. BTW, my 5.99 was 2 mph faster than my 5.92.

Andrew you should never have been removed for working on improving unless it was more than a year IMO!
But by this standard it is a new year and we all know he isn't close to running yet so Id say he needs to get new motor in an post times as I have done. Just my opinion.
Cele 3 leave your 5.92 @ 116 you 5.99 is close enough to back it up IMO. By the way I love that Damned car too!

Hey whats up, I think you should also in the 1/8th along with the 1/4 make a class for those that are actually STREET cars, reg. insp. and have to have times ran with in the year I.E. in 2004 not 2000-2001-2002 that they need to repeat the same atleast once a year to stay on this list.... Maybe even keep the race cars sep.

What about the top five of all time (or at least until you started keeping track)?
I hate to see good track times go to waste.

I've got separate threads up for 1/8 and 1/4 mile. I don't see any value in doing the bikes yet, as there has been no feedback indicating that it is wanted.
Tommy, I have identified the folks with old times and mentioned them in this thread. They are welcome to respond with new times or whatever. If not I guess I'll remove them. I also like the idea of a non-race car list, but there's a lot of opinions on what a "street" car really is. Once I see these 2 lists are working well, I'll try to work on that too.

Yeah, I'm a glutton. I think I can handle it, though.
Tommy - Maybe the street car owners could drive 'em on up to Sherman to give me a ride! :D j/k

A race list is a race list.. It doesn't matter what you have wheather its a racer or daily driver.. As long as it can get to the track and get to the finish line.

I don't think the intention is to get rid of this list. I think some folks would like to see a "street" car only list so they can see thier names up there.

I could care less about my name being up on the list I pay to have my name on here. I was just thinking of something different. Hell why not put a 16:1:1 and be at the top. I was just wondering on those who we just might bump into on the street. I hope the new combo will put me in that 6.8x-6.9xs on motor/ 5.9x-6.xxs pwr adder. Thats all...
I will get Dougs numbers so he can BE # 1 on all of the lists if it doesnt matter. This way no one can compete for the title....

i dont care about a street car list, all i am saying is who is gonna determine that a car is a street car...hell my car has made many drives down 635/35/loop 12, does that make me a street car?

Fast is fast who cares whether its a street car or not. 1/4 and 1/8 list only. We dont need 8 differents lists :D

I wasn't trying to piss anyone off, I'm just saying that the people with fast cars that keep them on the street want recognition too. Like I said before, I like the idea of a "street" car list, but its hard to define. Also like I said before, I want to work on that too.

Ray Crow posted Doug's numbers on the fastest list a while back. Problem was, he only had 2 posts. I don't know if Doug has even ran his new car yet. But, I'm sure folks around here would love for Doug to be an active member of this message board and would have no problem with him atop the Fastest List if he was.

If I remember right ARH was the one pushing for a bike list and that's how it came about. I don't care if the bike list exists or not as long as bikes are kept seperate from cars.
I think the fastest lists and the fastest N/A lists are fine the way they are. A "street" list is going to open you up for all kinds of grief.
FWIW to me a street car is one that's passed a legit inspection including passing the emissions test, and has all required emissions equipment intact & functional.

My car is tag and inspected and I drive it to the track to race but it wouldn't meet mikeb's definition of a street car because I don't have catalytic converters on my car at the moment. It did when it passed a legit emissions test though. :D

You can't really say street has legit inspection because all the antique rods dont have any real restrictions.
The safety part of an inspection like wipers, brakes, lights, blinkers et.. from the 70s would be enough to judge on Imissions is a BS way for the government to make money. Most of our cars are either driven less so affect the atmosphere less or are cleaner than 75% of the evryday commuters out there because we work on them and tune them all the time.
As far as a street list it will be tough to get an agreement on what is a street car.
But I didn't ever list my Altered on the fastest list either or even try to. So I think some sort of streetable type car should be required. It was a 427 BBC roller Payton chassy with a 23 Ford body on alky and a 400 shot fogger. it would run in the 4s only weighed 1650.
So already we have established pretty much full body production type cars.
