New best today at Denton

I went out to Denton today for the TMCCC to do alittle bracket racing.

First run off the trailer

60ft. 1.65
E/t . 6.700 :eek: (new best) (
mph . 106
(previous best was a 6.79 not a big increase, but still its was faster ;) )

The next pass

60ft. 1.75 :eek: :(
e/t . 6.92
mph. 104mph


After thos 2 time trials, I had no idea what to dial in at. But I decided on a 6.75

60ft. 1.74
e/t 6.87
mph 105

still won cause the guy broke out. Lucky.:D But I decide to keep the same dial casue I just needed alittle better burn out, and maybe shift alittle sooner.

mph 105

And I lost, well I didn't lose any power, its just all in my 60ft mark. I need alittle more seat time to get that down. But I was cutting some .55 lights.

well the next TMCCC is at Redline in 2 weeks. Maybe I will find my 6.6 there ;) I'm might have to use the ole transbrake next time.

BTW gt350mustang, a 6.4 1/8 mile run is about a 9.85 in the 1/4.

Yea Kirk its just a 60ft away. But I really don't think it will get much better. Maybe with a perfect burn out, track and launch off the t-brake I might get a 1.57. If I'm lucky. Casue I did get a 1.60 when I was just running 99mph. And that was off the brake.

I was out there running in the King Muscle class. I made it into the 3rd round of eliminations when I broke out with a 7.60 to a 7.65 dial in. That place was packed though. I think they said there were 189 cars there.

Yea I saw you run. Damn that thing is moving for a newer GT. I wasn't expecting to see it run that quick of a time. Are your spraying or N/A? Did you see the black fox out there? I think it had a turbo on it. Look like a down pipe to me, but I never got a real good look at it.

Its got a 125 shot on it. I was shutting the nitrous off at the 330ft and then letting off the gas at the end. Most of my runs trapped around 60-70mph. On one of the time trials I ran 7.4 @ 92mph. I was down a couple mph yesterday. It was either that freakin wind or my tire pressure, not sure. Best 60ft I could get was a 1.61 spinning a little I think. I need to put some real slicks on it to see if I can get a better launch.

I saw the black fox out there. He had a procharger I believe. He was running around 7.4's also letting out on the throttle a bit. Pretty nice guy, we talked for a little while.

oh I guess that could have been the intercooler pipe that I saw. :D He was running some low 7's I think. What about the dodge diesel truck.:D That thing was a running MOFO till it took a shit on the starting line. What was funny the guy that he raced caught a red light and the dodge just blew out a bunch of black smoke. Damn I guess none got to go to the second round.

So you going to the one in Redline? Also what club did you race under?

I saw the dial in on the Dodge, like a high 8 or something. The only pass I saw it make was when it didn't go anywhere off the line. Thats great it was running that good. That was a huge truck.

I won't be at the Redline one. I was just at Denton to get some runs in. I met a friend up there who was in the Lightning club.
