I will give it one last try to encourage some of you to atleast show up and WATCH an autox event. The Maverick Porsche car club is having an AX at TMS on Sunday. I will be there showing them what american V8's sound like atleast and hopefully bettering some of their times. Should be a decent event. It will be at the front bus lots right off the highway and will run from 8am probably till 4pm.

It doesn't cost anything to watch and hell, who knows? you might get hooked.

I will have to check the club rules about riders but if anyone wants a ride......feel free to ask but where your diapers in case I scare the shit out of you!!!!

You guys missed a fun event. i finally got to see what a TIGHT Autox course looks like. Pavement was VERY smooth but also very slick. I will post some videos later as i am dog ass tired.

it was fun to watch, i got there too late to watch Matt make his runs, but i got to see some quick quick porsches out there.

Saw a celica that was beating down a lot of cars too!


Some of the faster cars i saw were:

White WRX STi
White 944
Celica
black 911


and some guys were out there hating on a black G35 coupe. Definately punishing the tires.

I think you forgot a couple.....blue LT1 formula roasting Drag radials for 500 feet.......and a little silver GT that was heard more than seen!!!;)

I am going to try and put my old AWE 32 sound card in my new computer tonight and put a couple videos up......YOU MUST HEAR THE VIDEOS!!! All I can say is baaaad fucking ass sound!!!

Matt, glad you had a good time. I figured it would be a tight course. Those Porsche guys aren't big on power so they over kill the corners and "technicality" of the course. What were your times vs theirs? Let's see the vids!!!

Oh and Ktulu as far as that card offer is concerned. If you're just waiting to give it away I'll take it!! I've needed something for vids for a long time! and DAMN nice looking car as your avatar. Kind of reminds me of mine. :D Matter of fact looks DAMN close.

Well, there were some sweet ass cars out there. TTOD was a boxter S with a pro driver on r compounds....65.6, the 400hp firebird ran a 66.0 and I ran a 69.1. Most of the porsches were running in the 70.x's and a couple "preppared" race cars running in the 67's and 68's. I surprised A LOT of people given this is only my 9th AX ever. :D I think I have figured out my push problem......I think I might have too much negative camber? After watching the videos it appears my car doesn't roll much in the corners and does not need the extra negative camber. I noticed the inside of the tires showed a little more wear than the outside and it hardly rolled the edge of the tire if at all.

Darren, I will tell you that if I can fit the HUGE AWE card in the new case and get a decent video posted......you will need a new pair of shorts!!! :cool:

I saw a few cars run 68.x-69.x but not many. Most of the mid-year 911s and the 914s were running 70s.
