Mecury Marauder!

On my way back from having lunch at my local Sonic...this cocky mofo in a sweet looking black marauder pulls up next to me and looks at me and later says I've beaten every single on of those I've met!:rolleyes:...I said yeah thier kinda slow!;) ....he then proceeds to tell me if I want to get whooped!:rolleyes: ...his exact words "you wanna do this or what"........I never go out looking for trouble anymore and don't make a habit of street racing anymore but I had to see what these cars had!.....BTW as far as I could tell the car had a loud ass sounding exhaust......sounded way sweeter than mines!:( ...so I said okay........light turns green and I dump the clutch at 3.5k and by the time I hit third I had proceeded to put about 4-5 cars on him all motor!:confused: ...I guess he was lying about beating all GT's!............:)







I know were not suppose to post street racing post..but keep in mind that his happen in far, far, far-away universe a long time ago!;)

On a side note...I have to give sonics chicken wraps a thumbs up!:) ....healthy yet satisfying!

What part of town was this in??? A friend of mine has a blown Marauder and owns the www.mercurymarauder.net site. But he lives in Flower Mound. Also, I'm not sure that a stock GT would give him much trouble... if yours is stock, that is.

This was around the forrest ln...635 area....I'm not stock...and I saw an article on MT that talked about a SC marauder...it looked badd azz!:)

I have a 97 Mark VIII curb weight is 3775lbs. With the new chrome 18" R's I would say closer to 3900 curb weight plus driver. I know a Marauder has to weight every bit as much as my car. The Marauder has a good motor yes but its still a sled in comparison to a mustang with a stick. Remember a Marauder has like a 2000k stall which is no bueno for launching a heavy ass car. I would love to call you out to race my Mark but I have a head gasket problem to fix. But if you'd like I'll race you once she is up running. My car will be every bit of 4100lbs with driver and should be roughly low 14's depending if I have gears by then. That should be a tad better then the Marauder you raced but I could be wrong. My car stock ran 9.8 @ 75.6 mph in the 1/8 2.6 60' no it wasn't traction problems just too heavy and no gear to move the 1800rpm stall 3.27 rear end 4000lb car.
