Alan's right.
It's an early big ford 9" housing end for my 8.8. 3.15" bore, 3.5" x 2.375" bolt pattern, 1/2" bolt holes...
If anyone's interested, jamesb now has a jig to properly narrow your rearend/install aftermarket housing ends.
Yes, I'm gonna have to buy new brakes for this.

looks like the big ford style.... I went through a bunch of "it measures this much and looks like this" with moser for the same housing end :)

LOL! This is actually Moser's 2nd try... the first time they sent me 8.8 ends!
I called them up and sent them back in and they made it right.

You going to get the drag shit?

33 spline gun drilled and star-flanged moser axles. We're gonna narrow the rearend as much as I can (stock location control arms and shocks) and still fit a 15x10 alumastar 2.0" (3", 4", 5", 6" backspacings possible). I've ordered some aerospace rear brakes for early big ford which should be here soon.
I'd like to minitub it and get some coilover shocks but it's not in the budget right now. A 28 x 10.5 on a 12" rim would put a LOT of tire to the pavement...
It's not a bad boy 9", but it should last for awhile.
