ive got a newly built pc, with lan connection. when itry to download stuff, it starts out at like 5kb/sec, then eventually drops to like 120 bytes per sec. when it finally finishes downloading , sometimes it says incorrect file size and wont work whatever i download....any suggestions? i had my cable provider ping me and they said all is good on their end...

The source of the download might help.

If its from an unknown site that you are trying to bootleg stuff then consider the source.

If not you might consider swapping out your network interface. I hope you are not using a usb cable modem.
