No. If I have to vote for someone it would be Bush, Bush is not a saint nor do I feel his is spiritual. Religious yes, Spiritual, no.
Although I don't agree with 50% of his veiws, especially the Afirmative Action thing, I'd rather have a President who wants to keep the US out of the UN and out of the EUs affairs. Kerry would just hand us over to a World Government.
I hate politics. No candidate has it all. I don't like Dems or Rep. And as a Christian I don't see how one could POSSIBLY be ,wholeheartedly, one or the other.

Dont you think that we are past affirmative action, JC? I can see how it was needed back in the '60s '70s and maybe even the '80s but I really dont think it does much good in todays society. If anything, it may be doing more harm than good. I have read stories of white men who are far more qualified for a job but get passed over just because a company has to stay within their quota. Sometimes I feel that discrimination is getting reversed. Dont get me wrong, I am not prejudice in any way but I think its time our country move past all these race laws and start seeing people as Americans instead of black, white, red, or brown.

Because as noble as the thought may be, America is still not a totally equal society and brother.....it never will be.
It has nothing to do with racism, but simply preference and personal opinion. Humans are more inclined to flock to their own. Hypothetical question: If you walked into a room filled with total strangers. No one knew you and vice versa. One table was filled with blacks, the other, whites. Everyone was dressed in business attire. Where would you sit? It's simple socialism.
The employer is free to hire whom they choose and for the most part they will choose who they are familiar with. Some defense contractors may never hire women simply because all of the workers are ex military males. It is the gov. mandated policy that makes them hire a diverse workforce, men, women, a mixture of races.
I think is it irresponsibly naive to think that ones skill and knowledge is the only thing considered in hiring practices. If I owned a business would I be more likely to hire more blacks simply because I relate better? What if Pro-line (a black owned hair products company here in Dallas) didn't hire whites because the hiring director hated whitey? Who protects citizens from unfair hiring practices? AA is not a "help the blackman" law. It covers ANYONE who is descriminated against. It helps your mother and sister or your daughter or you wife, also.
Now the whole university college points thing is something that I feel has room for tweaking.
Now if everyone loved Jesus then yeah, I could see a loving color-blind society. :)

I grew up in the midwest in an all white community. I never physically saw a person other than white until I was in high school. There was quite a bit of racism in my town. Back in the 50s and 60s the older men of the town would stand on the bridge that ran across the river between the two towns with shotguns so the blacks couldn't come over and go shopping. Today, there are several black families as well as asian and indian families that live there. My point is, things have changed over the years for the better, maybe not everywhere, but from my experiences there have been changes. But we are also talking about north verses south.
I see your point and you are probably right is saying that I personally would flock towards whitey since that is my culture and whom I feel most comfortable with. But I, as an employer, would never hire anyone because I prefered one race over another. I would want the best person possible for the job.
If you remember correctly, it is I who came up to you two years ago at one of the MMCMs and introduced myself. I do not fear the black man. ;)

But not everyone and I would dare say, a vast number do not try to adhere to the priciples that you do.
