Who killed Jesus?

Did anyone else watch that Dateline (I think) show that was on Tuesday (?) night about "who killed Jesus"?

In a nutshell, the (Christian and otherwise) researchers said that anyone who did what Jesus reportedly did, would have no doubt as to their punishment: Death.

Sounds like the definition of assisted suicide to me...

The "Christian" researchers that they use are bias. Very much like the Jesus Seminar. These people only say what people want to hear, that no one is at fault, and we are all blameless.

Historically, Romans, Gentiles, and Hebrews killed Jesus
Acts 4:27 Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.
Now, I will agree that Jesus laid down His own life.
John 10:17-18 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life-only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.
Although, everyone killed Jesus.
I John 2:2 He [Jesus] is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
But ultimately, God killed Jesus
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
None of this would have happened if it wasn't for God loving us that He would be willing to give up His Son to die for us.

None of this would have happened if it wasn't for God loving us that He would be willing to give up His Son to die for us.

HA! Your kidding me, right? Most churches only teach that it is we (our sins) that killed Jesus, but there is more to it than just that.

If you remember, Pilate told Jesus that he had the power to condemn Him or set Him free. Jesus replied by saying that he had no power unless it was given to him by God.

I go to a very good teaching church. I have noticed that my church's pastoral staff, will cover everything in the bible.

I remember reading the handout for the sermen one day and it was on Eph 5:22-33, which Eph 5:22 says "Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord." I thought oboy, he should have steered around that mine field. But I was suprised that it was enlighting.

We have gone over that one too. Guys love to quote that scripture but fail to continue on to verse 25 where it says, "Husbands love your wifes as Christ loved the Church and gave His life for it."

Sounds like your in a good church man.
