I dont think the police will be a problem. There is a Wendy's over there that gets some large groups of people and there doesnt seem to be a problem. Dont know, I dont think they will bother anyone though.

There is another sonic at Marsh and Frankford....about 2 miles east of the old one that is a better location I think. It is sitting in a large parking lot of a vacant Winn Dixie. This is also city of Dallas and there aren't many patrol cars around there at all. It also keeps us out of fucking carrollton where the cops are neo nazi asshole fuckers......just like Lewisville.

Should be a decent, safe place that would not get alot of harassment. We would probably police ourselves any way. Probably need to find out if the Sonic actually has anyone working on Wednesday nights.

Beej and Andrew would probably like it!!!;)

This is also just off the George Bush Freeway so access for those further away would be good......?

uhh... Chucks is nice and all but the TorqueCentral crew is running it from 7-9.. TOO early to see othes' cars for people who work late... but that one at Marsh and Frankfort is pretty clean and easily accessable....

That's a good location. I love the Carrollton cops though. I dealt with them all the time for the Old Denton Sonic g2g. They were very "forgiving" and cooperative. But yes, Dallas cops have far more things to do than fuck w/us. :p

I'm down with any of the above locations. However, remember if we move TOO far away we'll lose many of the core people who came out weekly. I drive approx. 40 miles regardless....but I always have and don't mind. That's the best part of the night. :cool:

Nicole, I think you will find that carrollton has changed since the old days......for the worse. They have started the whole front plate, tags and other BS just to stop and harass you. I know most every department has started this but the location I mentioned is at the outer skirts of Dallas and is rarely patrolled at all. That is good and bad if there is any trouble with fights and stuff but it is well lit and should be a good spot.

I live in flower mound, about a mile from highland village. I don't think 407 and morris would be hasseled at all. Lewisville cops are the d***s. There is a El Chico right next to the sonic on 407 and morriss.

Every friday at 6.30 theres a meet at grapevine mills in the burrlington coat factory parking lot. About half are mustangs, other half is whatever. You're welcome to try theirs, but I hear after 7, they leave town and start illegal activities that may have killed off the Lewsivilles Sonic.

a lot of cities have new legislature against street racing, thats one of the things, try to keep big groups of fast cars from getting together. If everyone would obey the laws there wouldn't be any problems. You can think street racing and fast and furious for the gtg being fucked over

Thats lame. I mean, if I were a cop, I'd bring my vic to the scene and show it off like everyone else. People will be able to keep their right to assemble, plus no ones gonna start @#%&. Not with a cop watching their every move.

Chasing the group off, you cause them to get in their cars and drive! And wasn't that what they're afraid of? Plus now the drivers are seriously angry. And an angry motorist leads to speeding and other wreckless driving. Besides, "group of fast cars?" I know some of you may have hot rides, but I still got my 145hp.

I don't think there would be a problem in flower mound. They don't even mess with the high school kids that hang out at wendy's. If we went to a place like sonic and are buying food. Kids at wendy's just hang out in the parking lot, don't buy anything.

i like the idea of the sonic on frankford and marsh.... big parking area and still kinda centrally located......plus it might get some of the garland guys to come hang out since it is closer to them????

The flower mound sonic has a huge grassy area. Yeah, purchasing food is a great idea, but I'm sure theyd rather have gatherings in the grass, then people taking up other potential customers spots.

As for the flower mound wendys, I've seen that gathering. I though that lot was Wendys overflow (if any) Meaning I thought those spots were for the drive thru cleaners, which, duh, not purpose in any parking, despite the many lots.

I thought there was already a weekly carrollton sonic mustang meet already.

That El Chico by the Sonic in Flower Mound used to have a GTG with some very cool muscle cars and I never once heard of a police concern. I have met many Flower Mound cops and I think if you are somewhat civil you will be fine.

Of course I am voting for it since it is 2 miles from my house.
