where can i find a good high speed buffer/polisher around lewisville?

i was watching the horsepower tv show and i was a nice meqauirs polisher on there with a kit would anyone know if there good and where i could find one.

Sears doesnt carry a high speed buffer, they carry a Craftsman low speed orbital.....which is worthless IMO

Autopia sells the same Poter Cable DA polisher that Meguiars sells but at a much cheaper price and it includes 3 pads for $179.
From what I've read and pictures of results I've seen its well worth it IMO. Don't bother with a low end orbital polisher you won't get the results your looking for. I have the sears one, its collecting dust. You can get almost all the results of a rotary buffer with the Porter Cable but don't have the risks involved like burning your paint.

well thanks for all yalls help i do have the orbital buffer which is ok and i also have the sears craftman buffer as well ive ordered the portle cable one along with someother waxs and polishers, protecter, glaze its a 6 step process which seems like it would work ill post pics of before and after thanks again for the help

He means that its worthless for taking out imperfections and good scratches/squirls... If you're not to careful with changing the cloth bonnets, it will create new scratches and swirl marks... So going with a high speed like a makita or dewalt will do the job... The orbital is for waxing purposes not buffing...

Actually the Porter Cable DA can remove imprefections in the paint, scratches, swirl marks, with the right pads and product.

I'm sure it can but I'd rather have the Makita 9227 or Dewalt 849 for that...

i have a black car and i have alot of swirl marks since ive been using a cheap sears buffer and im hoping it would help out with the 6 stage proccess that perfect shine has posted up and ill keep you updated i never knew about glazing or using a protector i pretty much just washed the car and waxed it like 1 a month but it sounds like it would work ill send pics of my car when i get it back next week with the new 5.4L motor thanks for the help
