i went to dallas mustang the other day what shitty service. i stood around like a dumb ass at the counter for 20 mins while everyone acted like they busy on the phone or reading. im not the kind of person who speaks up but im the one up there to spend a thousand dollars to pay their paychecks. anyway was wondering if anyone else ever had any trouble there?:(

Next time that happens just ask to speak with Richard or Randy. They own the place and will make sure you get help ASAP. Sometimes you need that place like a pool needs water, especially if you work on mustangs as much as I do. I worked there for a while and sometimes the guys up front think someone else is taking care of you and just make a mistake. I am sure Richard and Randy would take care of any complaints you have as long as they are within reason and logical.

Yeah I used to go there all the time and get the most horrible service that made me go back and buy more shit ! :p j/k they knew me and most of the time I would let everyone else go ahead of me because Id hear these weak ass stories about people getting shitty service. Heaven forbid theyd be working with me getting parts and Im part of that problem. Its just like going to mcdonalds... sometimes you gotta wait for the good stuff.... Ive seen plenty of impatient people go in there as well. Just ask to speak to Randy or Mike....they would help you out.

When you go there, know what you want, have cash, and most importantly bring a stripper, and make sure she is dressed like one. You will get service with quickness.

Everytime I go there they have what I need and I have never had a problem. Except that one time a customer asked the stripper if they could give her an "angry dragon," but that was a long time ago.

Actually is was started as a small business that was begun by Richard and a partner out of a trailer on the side in the early 80's that grew to where it is today. DMP was around before the internet became popular. Just thought you might want to know if you didn't already.

I've never had a problem buying parts from them. I just walk my ass up to the counter and stare them down till i get help. Works like a charm. I've never had them install anything so can't comment on that. I'd buy parts from them. I make sure to call to make sure they have it before I drive 30mins down there though.

If I was restoring a 64 to 72 Mustang I might go back there, as a last resort. It was such an ass whipping the last few times there it leaves a bad taste for a long time. F-DMP

I'm thinking either you work there or your very good friends with someone who does. I'm not saying your right or wrong; however, your defensive stand about the whole situation seems personal. Do you work there? If so why not say so? It isn't hard to recognize that anyone can make another screen name seemingly under the radar, but honestly the above quote sounds very familiar to the tone of a guy that works there when he's frustrated. I haven't had any bad experiences with DMP since I got to know people there, prior to that though I felt a little less than welcome at times and welcomed at other times. Kind of hit and miss. This isn't judgment this is pure honestly from an objective point without the sarcasm or belittlement

Why pay somebody to do something that simple. Unless you have a 4Valve or LS1 it is pretty damn simple. It is safe to say that your tranny was going to leak no matter what shop installed your headers. Get a clue...:rolleyes:

When I finally got the guy from the phone, he said sorry dude they sold it before I got there because it took me so long to get there. I have been there other times with CASH-IN-HAND and stood around for over thirty minutes while all the guys who work there talk about partying, etc. I don't know how they manage to stay in business with such crappy customer service. I WILL NEVER go back to DM ever again. I can buy stuff off the internet a lot cheaper and don't get treated like crap. They suck!!!

But when I was trying to get my car tuned by Mike Murillo after the blower install I ran into some MAJOR problems. I will not deal with anyone else but Mike Wilson. Just call and ask for Wilson. Tell him that you are coming up there and what you are looking for. When you get there ask specifically for Mike Wilson. He will take care of you. DMP is the ONLY place that I go to anymore.
