What's your weight and E.T? Did you pick up any going to a 2 speed overa 3?

Do you think it will help me out any going to a glide? My truck weigh's around 2800 with a driver, Is that too heavy? It went a 6.40 with a 3 speed, Can I exspect o pick up any with this tranny swap? Is it worth it?

I think that you'll pick up with a Glide and
a good converter(no cheapies).

I went to the Glide over a TH-400 and it
was the best thing I've done with the
tranmission.

I have a TCI 5500 stall now, I will be using the same converter. It cost like around 800 buck's, I dont think this is a cheap converter. I think it should work fine.

I run one and can 60ft better than anyone here. A PG will tame the car(truck) coming out of the hole if you have the power to pull the high first gear. I have heard that if you are under 3k lbs you can run a glide if you make enough power.

That being said there if a point where more gears is faster. Look at the really fast cars, they run a Liberty, Bruno Lenco, or one with a clutch. I really think that if you have the chasis you will go faster with a 3 speed because of better torque multiplication.
