street racers caught!!

I saw no less than 6 cars( I think all imports)getting stopped on the side of LOWES in mesquite at around 10:30-11:00pm last night. Some guy told me he and some of his buddy's watch as Mesquite's finest were watching as the group of imports all buzzed up and thru ricer rev's at each other that made me think of a video that was posted not to long ago were the cars sounded bing,bing,bing,bong,bong,bong!!!:D :D anyways the cops trapped them in and supposedly arrested them all!!:( I hope and would not even think that any of those guys were members!!! they were ricers after all!!!:D

They weren't racing..... certainly they were probably getting ready to race..... but sitting in a parking lot isn't racing.

What I don't like about it is that the cops will continue to hassle groups of people sitting in parking lots even if they are just hanging out. People acting a fool in the parking lot only makes it worse.

The idiots have made it difficult for everyone.

I blame hollywood for glamorizing Imports, dont get me wrong I know some supras, and rx7s that can put a hurting on an unexpecting v8 car!! I agree that taking the car out just to cruise will get me looked at like I am one of the "teenage" punks that takes out his moms accord, civic or whatever. I didnt make a mistake by saying teanager either, for those of you out there!!

I got lucky last weekend though, I was called out and didnt back down. We went out of our way to make sure no one could get hurt.. We lined up, with our buddy flagging us, two cars approach and we let them through no big deal. So we made our run and the next thing we know down the road we got flagged by a state trooper. No one saw anything but apparently one of the ladies that went by us FLAGGED down the state trooper and signed an affidavit stating we were STOPPED ON ROADWAY didnt se us race thank god! $115 later its taken care of. Got off easy. Just was shitty the way it went down!!!!!!!!!!!

That's one of the main reasons I quit working on the mustang (street car) and continue working on my firebird (race car). Too dangerous to even get on it on the street anymore :(

What is it with state trooper's on the street's. Me and robert saw one the other week. We had just got done goofing off a little and then bam we saw one. He didn't have anything on us cause he didn't see anything but, still a little un nerving I must say. I think everyone in general has a real bad taste in their mouth about street racing now. Because of the news and the wreck's ect. People who are just hanging out with friends get lumped in with the stupid shits that kill people or hurt themselves. Bottom line if you get caught racing then that's your own fault you knew the risk you were taking when you race....and those kids did too I am sure. I just hate that we get hassled by cops when we just hang out and chill in the parking lot. I still think the cops would be better served busting some drunk driver, or robber or something than wasting his time hassling us while we stand next to our car's.
