So why don't they allow 88mm turbos with air/water? They allow 82's with air/water as per NMRA rules, but how many NMRA racers live around here? It's all FFW, and FFW allows 88's!

Because chevy guys run it and they are scared of the turbo ford. That and Josh Lindsey screwed the ford guys by telling them that is what they should do.

so how fast do they run????

They'd have a much higher car count if they'd allow the 88's.

If you have 632 BBC with a 400 shot plate, you can run any class that you want. If you have anything remotely fast that is a Ford, you are screwed. It's a class for the select few. That few being big block chevy's with nitrous.
haha, your screwed. I guess you are gonna buy an 82 now just to run these events.

Andrew,
TTT5 can run a 91 mm turbo and true street can run 76 mm turbo. 5.30's will be good numbers.
Turbos and Superchargers
True Ten 5
91 MM Max air to air no air to liquid
V6 Turbo may have air to liquid
F2, D3R and/or smaller superchargers allowed
Max 6-71 Blower
True Street
76 MM max turbo
no roots style superchargers

I'm all set up with an 88mm, air/water setup and there is no way that I'm gonna buy an air/air just for these races.
That's my issue with the rules...

like i said lets start a 10.5 class our selves
no pro mod chasiss
no liberty trans.etc...
There will be some hot racing when the two people with air to air intercoolers that can run mid 5s show up.....
He means $100 to join for the year and $100 for each race. You are garanteed $75 back. At least that was the way it was. You might actually be garanteed your money back.

I am running true 10.5 but, I don't have a turbo. So, it don't matter to me.

I had plans on running in "true street" - but the rules say "maximum 76MM turbo" .... Nothing said about smaller twins though.. even though I should be waayy over the minimum weight limit... WTF?

Why are there horsepower restricitions in a class whose biggest restriction is tire size?
I say fuggit, put four 88s on the thing, if you think you can make it hook up.
Andrew

It'll hook up good because I'll be unable to spool all four 88's! :p
