I am not sure if this has been posted here, so here goes.

We are having the first annual Texas Bullitt/Mach I Shootout on March 20th. It starts with a dyno day at Dallas Mustang, then a car show at BJ's in Lewisville and then a caravan to Redline in Caddo Mills. We already have 40 cars signed up!

This will be a great event, even if you don't own a Bullitt/Mach I. If you own one and want to participate then email your info here (bullittshootout@gbronline.com ) .

If you don't own a Bullitt/Mach I you are still welcome to tag along. We are not renting the track, just reserving 2 lanes and a large parking spot. The non-participants can still race.

It should be a great even and the caravan alone is worth going to. We should have 40+ cars from Lewisville to Caddo Mills!!!

Anyway, check here (http://pages.sbcglobal.net/deegreen/TexasShootout/index.htm) for details.

That is what I am screaming. I am looking to get new rims for my car and they are not going to be Cobra R or Bullitts like ever one else. I think I have mine picked out and I know no one has them.

If you think that you are going to make it to the event, please email the person listed above so that he can add you to the list of attendees and plan for you.

You are welcome to attend any or all of the events, except that all the dynos are already booked. But I am still going to go to DMP just to tag along :D

well I LIKE the bullitts, whether everyone has them or not. I'm more concerned with how much I like the way it looks then how many other people have the same wheels. I will leave the stock ones on for a while, maybe I will become attached to them

I would rather have something that looks ill, that everyone else may have too, than have something jank to be different...;)

The only wheels I would get to be different cost about 7-1200 a piece... and I don't think I really want to put HREs, Fikses, Forgelines, or I-Forges on a Mustang... I will wait till I get my Porsche for those...:o

How long ago did you email him?

Most all of the information is available on the website http://pages.sbcglobal.net/deegreen/TexasShootout/index.htm

It is strictly a pay-as-you-go event.

We start at DMP then to BJ's in Lewisville then to Redline.

What info do you need?

Yeah, with two first-time guys doing this for free that also happen to have full-time jobs and families it takes us some time. I rely on Greg to email me the names so that I can update the website and I only have the software at home so I can't do it at work. You're lucky it only took one day ;)

BTW, I am adding you to the Texas Bullitt Registry at www.imboc.com. I did not have you listed before because you did not have your location in your profile. Now that I know I'll add you, but you might want to update your profile there too.

C-ya on the 20th!

I heard about this event a long time ago and thought the races were going to be at Denton....? doesn't make sense to go from DM to Lewisville and back to redline...?

The guy that told me this lives in rockwall so I am pretty sure he wasnt' talking about redline....Might want to check the bullit or mach1 sites to verify location....

Just wanted to let you guys know that the Lone Star Performance Buick Club will be out in force at Redline this Saturday as well.

This is our first monthly Bracket race of 2004, we have 8 races schedule this year at Redline.

In between your brackets and ours if you guys want to grudge race we'll use our slowest Buick first.:D

See ya at Redline

If you are attending the event, please check the Attendees (http://pages.sbcglobal.net/deegreen/TexasShootout/attendees.htm) list and make sure that you are on it. If you are not on it then Email Greg (bullittshootout@gbronline.com) to let him know that you need to be added.

No, you don't need to be on the list. We are glad that you are coming, but we are mainly keeping track of the number of Bullitts and Mach I's. If yours had already come in then you would be at the top of the list!

50 cars participating. That's a lot more than the 25 or so we thought a couple of months ago. I can't wait until the cruize from BJ's. Should be a site.
