My car was keyed. Help fix

It's on the drivers side from the quarter to the front of the door. Can I fill it in with touch up paint and then wet sand it? Has anyone done this kind of fix themselves without paying a bodyshop a ton?

Ive done it. It wont look perfect but it can be done. English color sells some very fine brushes

the wal mart brand touch up doesnt really match, so might wanna have english color mix you up a batch of paint to match. I own an airbrush, works awesome.

Go to ford and get the stock color touch up paint

I picked up some FORD touch up paint today. $5.00

I'll give it a shot this weekend.

you may have to paint several layers until the paint has completly filled in the scratch. Let dry and add another. I did that over a couple of days then wet sanded and buffed it out. You could only see it at certain angles and it was as smooth as new. Good luck

Dont use the brush attached to the touch up paint, get something better

Before you use touch up, how deep is the wound? I ask this because my dads SUV got keys one halloween, but it buffed right out with rubbing compound. It was super difficult, but no paint was needed.

I had a long scratched on my stang. I want to say it was keyed, but it wasnt as deep as my dads. Perhaps someone just brushed up against my car weird. I rubbed 3m Imperial Hand Glaze on it, disappeared completely. I cant remember which one, but Autozone or Oreily have it, but for some reason you hafta ask for it. Scary stuff, its not on the shelf like your normal wax.
