Wed. Night GTG 7pm @ Jason's Deli in Lewisville 03-10-04

Here is where it is taken place:

Jason’s Deli. Every week at 7 p.m. till about 9:00 or so.

Hope to meet some of you newbies and I know we'll see many long-time members out in full force.

Once we are done eating there and all that good stuff we head over to Sonic for a gtg they hold over there.

If you are new coming out to the gtg and don’t know anyone please just walk up and tell us who you are.

Hope to see some of you there.

Please make sure you have a front license plate and all you tags are up to date. The cops are looking for a reason to pull you over when you leave. But they are going more for the ricers and truck's. Just an FYI


Directions

If you are on 121 and keep heading west after you cross under 35 you will keep going straight and there will be a exit for Round Grove on your right. Take the exit and then a left at the light. Once you are on Round Grove Rd go down to Mac Arthur, Make a Right onto Mac Arthur and Jason’s Deli will be on your left hand side.

If you are on 35 exit Round Grove depending which direction you are coming from turn on Round Grove toward Vista Ridge Mall. It will be the opposite side of 35 from the Super Target. Stay on Round Grove to Mac Arthur. Make a Left onto Mac Arthur and Jason’s Deli will be on your left hand side.

If you are coming from Plano and don't really know your way around you can get on Park and stay on that all the way to Lewisville. Park runs all the way into Flower Mound. While you are on Park it will turn into Hebron in Carrolton and then into Round Grove in Lewisville. Stay on Round Grove Rd go down to Mac Arthur, Make a Right onto Mac Arthur and Jason’s Deli will be on your left hand side

When did they start cracking down on the front plate/tags/etc? I remember a few weeks ago when people were talking about it being so relaxed! Was it because of the idiot in the EVO a few weeks back? I've still never been, and my one running ride isn't fully legal yet. Maybe I'll make it there one day! I could walk there in about 5 minutes from my girlfriend's apartment if I had to.(Sonic that is)

I didn't overlook anything. I simply posted a disdainful response to Hawse771's comment about revving at the cops and then you defended him. Matt, you can just come up to Jason's if you want to eat, or just meet us and ride over to Sonic. That is what I did last week so I wouldn't get hassled by the cops.




BTW any one coming out to the GTG might want to make sure you have a front plate. When I called up to find out the fine amount last week they said it was $102 dollars but when I went in today to plead no contest they said the fine amount is $152 dollars. So just be aware that if you go out without a plate they are looking to give you a ticket. I am still pretty sure that the judge will reduce the fine amount, but just be on the look out.

Take Hebron west from 35 and Sonic is about 4 or 5 lights down on the left side. It faces Hebron/Round Grove so you can't muiss it. People generally hang around pretty late when the weather is nice so stop by. Make sure you rev loud so we know you're comin'. ;)

I felt bad... the cop in the Tahoe had just pulled someone over, and there was a big group of people leaving... I figured they could just go out that front exit, but a cop sucked right in behind KC and lit him up... there's a good chance they would have got him no matter what exit he left out of, but who knows. :(

My car runs, but it smokes and ticks. Hell, it'll probably still pull pretty hard, I just don't want to risk dropping a valve and ruining my built shortblock. A head will be a bit cheaper to fix than replacing the bottom end. Thanks for twisting the knife a little though.:p
