Is there anything I can do to get rid of them? The tint never sticks on them very well.

David,

There are several ways shops will take care of this. One is just not to tint the window where those things are. IOW, you would not tint the top 3-4" of the window.

However, some of the best tint out there will indeed adhere nicely to the glass surface and those "dots". Hi-Tech Audio has done every one of my vehicles and I'm very pleased with their work. Their top of the line stuff has a lifetime material and labor guarantee. They are in N. Plano, though, so that's quite a drive for you.

No, it isn't. I just finished removing the tint an hour ago. Is 100 grit sandpaper a good idea on glass?

I used Windslow's Tint in Garland and they did an awesome job on my car. I asked them to go ahead and tint over the dot matrix, that way if I didn't like it I could always cut it off later. So far, so good. Haven't have any problems with it coming off or bubbling.
Might want to give them a call....

Brad, who tinted your windows and what was the price? I want double limo on the rear.

Another person used black vinyl from the top of the window to the first defroster line. Then he tinted the rest.

i have a friend that tints windows, he does a really good job and will come to your house. he usually either sands or scrapes the dots off, then tints over it. pm me if you want his number.

This is something I was considering. How does that look? Anyone seen a car done that way in person??

I have seen people sand them off, paint over them, and cover it with black vinyl from the inside...never have seen them get scraped off, but i don't doubt that could work...I myself would try to get some bad ass tint that would adhere to them...if that didn't work i would vinyl the area.

I might try the vinyl and see how it looks.
