anybody got any tips for cleaning the little grooves?

i would buff the wheels with a high speed buffer w/ wheel polish...

I had a pair of them and after cleaning the grooves a couple of times the word had appeared in front of the word Convo-Pro. (Kidding) I sold the car and what I used when I cleaned them was a medium sized soft bristled brush I picked up at wall mart in the auto section. It had a blue handle and looked like an over sized hairbrush. Hope this helps
