How do I resolve.....?

Having faith in Christ and believing that he died for my sins

and.......

believing that evolution is a correct assumption of how things came to pass and how we got here

Believing or not believing in evolution is nothing more that theology and really has nothing to do with salvation. There are many Christians in the world that believe in evolution. The bible says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. Plain and simple. God sent His Son to die so we wont have to. He loved us that much. There is no greater way to show your love for someone then to lay your life down for that person.

That makes me feel better. And so simple too. All this time, I think I have been worried for nothing. I thought I was going to hell for thinking we evolved from apes....j/k :D

I talk to so many people that felt like you Forensix. They believe they must agree with everything the bible says in order to be saved. This of course cannot even occur as the Holy Spirit gives believers understanding of the Word of God. First, admit your a sinner, accept Christ's finished work on the cross (payment for each and every one of your sins), and then invite Him to come into your life. He will! THEN...the Holy Spirit CAN begin to show you the truth from God's Word. Open your heart to Jesus, then He will open your mind to the truth!

LOL No, God will not send you or anyone else to hell for believing that we evolved from apes. Now, He may laugh at you hard enough to pee His pants but that is about it. ;)

Like Lee said, once a person becomes saved, the Holy Spirit will begin to reveal truth that is contain within Gods Word. That may even be the truth about evolution.
