I think that'll be the demise of this forum. Too many haters will use this sanctuarty as their own private Smakatorium. :( Making it a place to come and waste time while getting paid to work.

I understand Q&A and posting information to enlighten each other about religious beliefs, but there is no proof either way on what's right/wrong, so arguing/debating the subject does nothing but waste time on here. It'll be a shame to see this one peaceful forum go to crap.

debating about right/wrong, truth/untruth is how we learn and grow. Sometimes it takes seeing all the sides in order to make an intelligent decision.

I think opening this forum is only right, if Jose is moving all of the threads here.

This forum has always been open to those who were interested in having discussion. Not to just come in, drop off some crap like "does god have Nikes" and then jet.

Yes, we are supposed to recruit, but to argue with hateful people is a waste of time, time which is better spent on those who are open minded enough for the ideas of faith and seeing the unsee-able.

You're probably right that this will be the demise of this forum.

Having the forum limited kept out the people who argue for just for the point of arguing, not for understanding of the issue. I'm not perfect, nor would I expect anyone else to be. But maturity is (was?) a requirement.

It's pretty sad actually.

I think once the novelty wears off the newbs will either decide to stay and positively contribute or get moderated a few times and go elsewhere.

I personally enjoy reading the "life issues" threads that arise from time to time and hope that those threads of a religious nature will happen here in a way that encourages everyone to think a little. A little maturity & respect is all that JC is aking for.

haha! I hear ya Mike. It would be nice to have a mature conversation going on about Theology. I just hate all the bickering. Ugh. Especially on something that has no proof....Those never-ending debates....Because there IS no end! I mean it'd be entertaining to see people arguing in a thread called, "Does 1 + 1 = 3?". There IS a correct answer there and the answer will be found within. However arguing, "Does God exist" is pointless. You're going to believe what you want to believe. Just be civil about your beliefs. That's all that's asked here. :)
