1. Yes

2. Yes, depends on what software you are talking about... worst case there is a FREE alternative

3. Yes, tons of games.. lots of free ones.. and some windows games.. and some commercial games.

4. Most likly there is.. depends on sound card and video card though.

i have a M-Audio Delta 44 sound card that wasn't cheap so i would really like that to work

i have an ATI 9800 Pro i think not exactly sure has been a while since my purchase

the software that i am really concerned about is my sound editing software cuz it is expensive and i have alot of it so it would be really nice to use them.

im honestly not sure about the sound card... check out www.alsa-project.org (i think that is the address) for alsa drivers..

The 9800pro will work.. but sometimes is a pain to get going...

What kind of editing software are you speaking of?

audio editing and recording software/ ableton live/cool edit pro ---stuff like that
