View Full Version : Why do bodybuilders insist on dressing like clowns?

I'm so sick of seeing grown men walking around in tiger print spandex or big baggy lime green striped clown pants.

This morning I had to look at some nasty guy wearing striped spandex shorts that just barely covered his butt cheeks. It was disgusting!

Why is it that the more a guy goes to the gym, the more he dresses like a total dork? I understand they want to show off their physique - but what's the deal with the ugly prints? LOL! I'm amazed that these guys who put so much work into their bodies wanna ruin it all by dressing like tools.

I do not have any interest in looking at some 35 year old man walking around the gym with his testicles on display as I'm running.

Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? Am I the only one who thinks these guys look like clowns?

Sorry. I'll wear baggy sweat pants from now on.

I guess they are comfortable for the guys with huge quads that can't flex enough in normal pants - but why do they have to be in such stupid prints? WTF? I don't get it....and every big guy at my gym wears those ugy things.

I'm sure times have changed, but when I was playing football and carried 30"+ thighs, you could not find pants to fit.

I ended up having to buy 38" waist Wrangler jeans and taking the to the tailor to get the "V" cut out of the top back of the pants so they would fit my waist.

Forget about 501s.

Forget about 501s. Barely. I'm a 31in waist, and my thighs are probably right at 28-30". I've found one pair of Polo jeans, and one pair of Levi's that fit me right, other than that, I end up buying 34s or bigger, and they all have to be baggy.

I look at it the same way as the welders who wear the crazy fucking ugly hats.....

I don't know why, its just part of the gig....

98% of the guys that wear those type of pants are in fact gay. Seriously!:(

what's even worse is the guy so pumped up on roids that his back is broken out in sea of zits.....and he still wears a tank top, so we all get to enjoy his disgusting yellow zits on his back!! ugh!

I'm new to the "bodybuilding" aspect of weightlifting, but will never wear those pants, or anything tool-ish. Sorry girls, for the sights you have to bare, but just do your best to laugh at them. One more thing in this world that can cheer you up when you're having a bad day!

I will wear somewhat shorter shorts on leg day, but that's about as bad as I get. I don't do steroids, so I don't have the infamous zit problems, anywhere. So when I wear Tanks and T-Tops, hopefully I look ok. :(

Thanks for the female input, ladies!

Have a good one! ;)
