I bought a Codegen case last year based on the fact that it had 4 USB ports, 2 in front and 2 in back. I installed an ASUS mobo in it. Everything works great EXCEPT for the 2 USB ports in front...and it's because they're not hooked up. The problem is, I don't know how to hook them up. I've checked and rechecked some diagrams and I just don't understand how to get them working. I'd be willing to plunk down a lil cash if someone could JUST MAKE THEM WORK! Anyone interested? I'm sure it's something VERY simple and shouldn't be time consuming at all. I'm in the Frankford/I-35 area.

the connections are usually at the bottom of the mobo bellow the pci slots...

It's also possible that your mobo doesn't support front side USB.

if you just need MORE usb slots, you can get a USB expansion card, assuming they dont absolutely have to be on the front.

the usb connections on your motherboard will look like either two rows of 5 vertical pins, or 1 row of 5 and one row of 4.

your front usb ports will have either a one piece connector per port, or 9 or 10 little single pin connectors per pair of ports.

I don't need more, I just want the ones in front to work. My printer is connected via usb and that leaves one more slot out back - which I mainly use for my dig. camera, but occasionally for other stuff. I use my dig. camera all the time though and hate having to slide the case out to plug it in and remove it. I really just want to plug my camera into the front.

i found a picture of your board, and it appears that you have the front usb pins on your board.

I've got orange & white(labeled H.D.D. LED), black & red(no label), and 2 sets of red(+5v), white(-D), green(+D)) & black(ground). Since there's 2 sets of those, I'm only assuming that they belong to the front USB ports? Can you help me with any of that info?

you should have wires for your power switch, reset switch, HD activity light, power light, (possibly sys. speaker), and then the USB port connections are single row 5 pin connectors if I remember right...But this could be different

red(+5v), white(-D), green(+D)) & black(ground

those are the usb connectors.

mine are in the r/w/g/b configuration on the mobo, starting from the rear.

i would double check that, my board is an abit, it SHOULD be the same, but i would still double check yours, they MAY be labeled.
