on a 99 GT AOD? with 4:10's will it slow it down on the highway?

They will make it faster on the hwy! Untell you redline. :D
Your top speed will not be as fast, but you dont need to be going 140mph in a race anyways.
The 4:10's are a really good gear for the auto's. Save up for a stall too!

but if you ever plan on running nitrous on the car, 3:73s

I have the 4:30's in the garage. I'll get them put in one of these days.
I want to make some passes with the k-member setup first. I still havent received my 130lb drag springs i've been waiting to put on. :mad:

I would go with at lest 4:10's. You have overdrive so you will have no problems on the highway. I have 4:88's in my car with no overdrive and I run a 250 shot on it so you should have no trouble at all.

4.10's are an excellent gear for a aode. You'll spin street tires though.
