I am trying to beat a speeding ticket. Got clocked allegedly at 67 in 1/10 of a mile.

Can anyone post or email a timeslip for an 1/8 or 1/4 mile for a bone stock 99 GT?

I don't think it is possible.

Much thanks!!!

lemme ask u this, were you on it full throttle? If so, then it doesnt really matter. you got a ticket, deal with it. If NOT, then you have a valid reason for wanting to fight it. just my 2 cents.

F that! Always fight the ticket. Get a lawyer and let him handle it. It costs you more than a fine. Insurance, job availability, and even credit can be affected by a traffic ticket.
Traffic tickets started out as a saftey control but now its a means to generate goverment revenue.
No Sir! Dont pay it.

i doubt you could go 67 in the eigth with a bonestock gt. as for the ticket, i wouldnt pay it, even if you were under full throttle. they will make any exc use up to give tickets to you, so fuck em

Just trying to help a friend here. He says he was only going 50. Cops wrote him for 66 in a 35. If it was 50 he could take Defensive and move on. At this point he is F$%cked if he can't get the ticket dismissed.

The police were standing at 1/10 mile. He would have only been able to go 1/11-1/12 of a mile before he saw the officer and hit the brakes.

He is going to go to court, just trying to have some additional back-up.

Anyone with a Time Slip

50 in a 35, that is dumb. Your friend needs a brain more than a time slip.

I could understand if he got caught on an exit ramp. Most of them are rated at 30-35 mph.

I've got like 16 for my 98GT with a blown cylinder (all same day at Ennis) where I ran an average of 9.2 @ 74 in the 1/8th

I do have a couple with a stock 99GT that I raced against and her average was 9.3 at 77.

I can scan them tomorrow if you need it, but I can't see why. It's quite possible that the 99GT can reach that speed in that time, plus the time slip isn't going to mean anything in court.
